Mirjam Boven

Mirjam teaches the Dunstan Baby Language course in Drachten, Surhuisterveen, or at the parents' home.

In addition, she works as a nurse baby consultant at Midwifery Practice Wolkom in Drachten. Here, she provides information to expectant parents and offers guidance regarding uncertainty about bonding during pregnancy. She is also there for parents for whom things are not quite running smoothly after the birth of their child.

During her training as a baby consultant, she took the Basic Dunstan Baby Language Training and was perplexed: "After working on maternity wards for 20 years, I thought: why didn't I know this sooner?!"

I wish every parent had knowledge of Baby Talk, because it helps so much in figuring out what your little one is trying to tell you. Additionally, as parents, you can work well together to recognize the sounds. It is so fun to see fathers react with great enthusiasm too when they recognize a sound!
