Dunstan Baby Language Trainer module

In addition to the Basic Training, participants can also take the supplementary module to become a Dunstan Baby Language Trainer. This gives the participant the licence to offer Dunstan Baby Language as an independent course to parents. This can be done one-to-one or in a group setting. This training is intended for teachers of baby and parent-to-be courses and other professionals who want to expand their work by providing a Dunstan Baby Language course for Parents. Trainers receive additional course materials and publicity materials and benefit from many advantages.

  • The training

    This module consists of an additional 4-hour session (or 2 lessons of 2 hours). The lesson covers delivering a Dunstan Baby Language course to parents, the practical aspects of running courses such as pricing and course formats, and recruiting participants.

  • Target audience and admission

    To take part in the Dunstan Baby Language Trainer Module, you must hold a valid certificate from the Dunstan Baby Language Basic Training for Professionals.

  • Location

    This training is delivered online (via Zoom), so you can choose the location from which you would like to participate. 

  • Study load

    The total study load for this module is approximately 8 hours, comprising 4 lesson hours and 4 hours of self-study at home. 

  • What you need

    The training is delivered online via Zoom. Ideally, you will take the training using a laptop or PC, but you can also join from a tablet or phone if necessary.


    Make sure you have a quiet environment and a good internet connection.


    Please bring your own pen and paper if you would like to take notes.

  • Certification

    After completing the Trainer Module, participants receive the Dunstan Baby Language Trainer Certificate and a licence to offer Dunstan Baby Language courses to parents. This can be offered as a standalone course or as part of, for example, a pregnancy course.


    The certificate is valid for 3 years. After that, it can be renewed by taking a refresher course. 


    The licence to provide courses is issued for one year. It is free in the first year after completing the Trainer Module. From then on, it costs €135 per year. This licence is mandatory in order to retain authorisation to provide courses.

    This course does not authorise you to teach Dunstan Baby Language to other professionals. That right is reserved by Dunstan Baby Language Netherlands.

  • Costs

    Participation in the regular training dates costs €295,- per person.

    Dunstan Baby Language Netherlands is registered with the Central Register of Short Vocational Education. This means that the training and course materials can be provided VAT-free.
